Check your microphone before a call or recording. Speak and watch the level meter, then record a five-second clip to hear how you sound.

Frequently asked
Why doesn't the meter move?
Make sure the right microphone is selected, it isn't muted, and the browser is allowed to use it.
Is my voice recorded?
Only the short test clip, and it stays on your device.
How loud should I be?
Aim for the meter to peak in the green-to-yellow range when you speak normally.
Is what I type sent to a server?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser and there's no server behind it, so what you type never leaves your device and nothing is stored. You can check: it keeps working if you go offline after the page has loaded.
