About the Scientific Calculator
A full scientific calculator in your browser. It handles brackets and operator precedence correctly, supports degrees and radians for trigonometry, and includes logarithms, roots, powers, factorials and constants. Type with your keyboard or tap the buttons, and reuse earlier answers from the history list.
- Type an expression with your keyboard or the on-screen keys, e.g. 2 × (3 + 4)^2.
- Pick DEG or RAD before using sin, cos or tan.
- Press = or Enter to calculate. Use Ans to reuse the last result.
- Click an item in the history to bring it back.
Tips
Use brackets to make the order clear, Ans to reuse the last result, and switch to RAD for calculus and physics problems that use radians. Your recent calculations are kept in the history list.
Frequently asked
Does it follow the order of operations?
Yes. Brackets are evaluated first, then powers, then multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction (BODMAS / PEMDAS).
How do I switch between degrees and radians?
Use the DEG / RAD toggle above the keypad. It affects sin, cos, tan and their inverse functions.
Can I use my keyboard?
Yes. Numbers, + − * / ^ ( ) and . work directly, Enter calculates, Backspace deletes and Escape clears.
Is what I type sent to a server?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser and there's no server behind it, so what you type never leaves your device and nothing is stored. You can check: it keeps working if you go offline after the page has loaded.
