- Copy the result in the case you need.
Frequently asked
How do I write 1,50,000 in words?
In the Indian system it is “One Lakh Fifty Thousand”. In the international system 150,000 is “One Hundred Fifty Thousand”.
How should I write an amount on a cheque?
Write the amount in words followed by “Only”, for example “Rupees Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Only”. This tool adds “Only” in currency mode.
What is the difference between lakh and million?
1 lakh = 100,000 and 1 crore = 10,000,000. 1 million = 10 lakh and 1 billion = 100 crore.
Is what I type sent to a server?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser and there's no server behind it, so what you type never leaves your device and nothing is stored. You can check: it keeps working if you go offline after the page has loaded.
