    About the Lyrics Projector

Put song words on the screen without installing presentation software. Paste each song's lyrics, and every blank line becomes a slide; chords from chord charts are left off automatically. Build the service's song list, set an order like V1 C V2 C B C, then open the projector window on the second screen and control it from your laptop with the arrow keys or a presentation clicker. The words are always sized as large as they fit. Black the screen or hide the words between songs, choose colours and fonts, or use the green-screen lower third for a livestream. Your songs stay saved in this browser.

    1. Add your songs and paste the lyrics, with a blank line between slides.
    2. Optionally type an order such as V1 C V2 C B C.
    3. Press Open projector window, drag it to the projector and click it for full screen.
    4. Use → / ← or a clicker to move through the slides, B to black the screen and C to hide the words.
    Questions

    Frequently asked

How do I show it on the projector?

Connect the projector or TV as a second screen (extended, not mirrored). Press Open projector window, drag the window onto the projector and click it for full screen. Control everything from the main window. On a single screen, use Full screen here.

    Do presentation clickers work?

Yes. Most clickers send Page Down, Page Up or the arrow keys, which move the slides, and their blank-screen button usually sends B or a full stop, which blacks the screen.

Can I use it for livestreams?

Yes. Choose the Green screen colours and the Lower third layout, capture the projector window in OBS and key out the green.

Do I need a licence to show song lyrics?

For copyrighted songs, many churches need a licence such as CCLI or OneLicense to project lyrics. Hymns in the public domain, like Amazing Grace, are free to show.

    Where are my songs saved?

Only in this browser on this device. Nothing is uploaded.

Is what I type sent to a server?

No. The tool runs entirely in your browser and there's no server behind it, so what you type never leaves your device and nothing is stored. You can check: it keeps working if you go offline after the page has loaded.
