Retirement Calculator
Corpus you need to retire
The corpus is what you'd need at retirement to pay your expenses, rising with inflation every year, until the age you plan for, while the rest stays invested at the after-retirement return. It's an estimate; returns aren't guaranteed. Not financial advice.
About the Retirement Calculator

The calculator grows your expenses with inflation to the day you retire, works out the corpus that can pay them every year until the age you plan for, and tells you the monthly SIP that would close the gap.

Frequently asked
How is the retirement corpus calculated?
Your monthly expenses are grown at the inflation rate until you retire. The corpus is the amount that can pay those expenses at the start of every year of retirement, rising with inflation, while the rest earns the after-retirement return, until the age you plan for.
What inflation and returns should I assume?
Many planners use 6% inflation for India, 10–12% returns before retirement for an equity-heavy portfolio and 6–8% after retirement, when money usually moves to safer investments. Try a few values: small changes make a big difference over decades.
What is the 25x rule?
A common shortcut says you need about 25 times your yearly expenses to retire. It assumes returns stay a little ahead of inflation. With Indian inflation and a long retirement, this calculator often shows you need more, so plan with your own numbers.
Is what I type sent to a server?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser and there's no server behind it, so what you type never leaves your device and nothing is stored. You can check: it keeps working if you go offline after the page has loaded.
